Episode 23 - Teambackcountry

February 27, 2017

This podcast was a lot of fun!  It was awesome to be able to sit down with people that are super knowledgeable and so willing to share information about hunting.  In this episode we go over, "who is Team Backcountry?"  Follow along as we get to know these guys and dive into their experiences and stories from the backcountry.  We wrap up this episode discussing pack llamas.  After talking to Team Backcountry they might have us sold on getting some llamas for our next backcountry adventure.  In fact we may be renting some from the guys in the near future.  If you are interested in llamas in the backcountry check out their other company, Backcountry Logistics.  Maybe they could help you conquer that remote area you always wanted to venture into!

Like always leave us a review and be sure to check out Team Backcountry!

Episode 22 - Adam and Jesse

February 2, 2017

In this episode we just hit record and start talking. After a bit we get into hunt planning. This is a tough thing to do when you have 6 people in our group. So we try to figure out what we want to do and what is actually possible with the amount of leave we have. If you're a hunter I am sure you can relate. We are going to keep trying to pump these podcasts out. Expect a lot more in the next few months. Thanks for listening Southern draw.

Episode 21 - Lightweight Hunting Tripods.

January 27, 2017

On this podcast I sit down with Rob McConnell from SandSarchery. In this episode are main focus is light weight hunting tripods. At first we go over a little about what is SandSarchery and how Rob joined them. Then after that we get into the meat and potatoes of the podcast. Hopefully you will have a better understand of tripods and what makes a good hunting tripod. Rob has a great deal of knowledge since he gets to test these products out. Hopefully you feel better equiped with making a purchase on a new tripod.

Thanks Southern Draw

Episode 20 - 2016 Alligator ReCap

January 25, 2017

On this podcast we FINALLY recap our 2016 alligator season.  We tried recording this podcast last fall from 4 different locations with 4 internet connections and Skype....needless to say, epic fail.

We talk about our double and landing the biggest alligator to date for Southern Draw.  It was an awesome experience and one many hunters have on their bucket list.  We are thankful to have had the opportunites to harvest these present-day dinosaurs.  Hopefully this podcast encourages some of you to explore the alligator hunting opportunites in the South.

Episode 19 - Top Priority Hunting.

January 13, 2017

On this podcast I sit down with Justin Nelson from Top Priority Hunting. Justin is an accomplished hunter having killed 11 or 12 elk in his life thus far. Being only 30 that is extremely impressive. He is also a great videographer having had a film in the full draw film tour last year. Top Priority Hunting this year alone has killed 10 animals on film which is crazy good. Hopefully you enjoy this podcast and learn a littile about filming and Top Priority Hunting. Thanks Jesse.

Episode 18 - Southern Draw’s Plans

December 20, 2016

This podcast is about us, Southern Draw!

From a simple idea on a mountain top to the many struggles in our homes trying to figure out sound issues, the reason has always been the same... This is something we cover in this episode. Why we started this podcast? Later in the podcast we go over the direction Southern Draw is headed.  This should clarify any questions about the group and what you can expect in the future. We know we have had annoying sound issues in the past and we want to thank everyone who has stayed with us as we worked through them. The goal is to continously get better and bring you quailty content.

Thanks, Jesse.

Episode 17 - Josh Moremen

December 10, 2016

I sit down with Josh Moremen. Josh is one of the founding members of "Southern Draw". He also works for Garmin and worked for Delrome.  It was fun sitting down and going over his season so far. Man has he had a good one. Bear, elk and a mountain whitetail. All from a guy who has only lived out west for a little over a year. Hopefully you have as much fun as I did as josh tells us about his stellar year.
